Club ZAK in Gdansk, Poland, announces the International Solo Dance Contest 2012, a contest for a short contemporary dance solo (contemporary dance/ballet). The Solo Dance Contest will take place during the Gdansk Dance Festival, 13-15.7.2012.
The contest is directed to contemporary dance artists from the European countries. It is open for dancers who have a documented artistic activity or/and are professional dancers with a diploma of dance studies.
The deadline for application is 2nd April 2012.
The contest is for solos that are autonomous solo performances, the premiere of which took place between 1st January 2010 and 29th February 2012. The solo should not be shorter than 5 minutes and no longer than 20 minutes. One dancer can submit a maximum of two solos.
