The NRW KULTURsekretariat is offering 6 to 12-week dance research residencies for performing artists in the fields of dance, choreography and performance who want to carry out theme-related but production-neutral research.
The residencies are in Düsseldorf and Essen between September and November 2012. The results of the research will be presented at an official event.
Submissions will only be received online until 15 April 2012.
The theme of Dance Research NRW #9 in Essen is inspired by the motto »Underground«, exploring the presence of hidden and invisible things below the surface of a city that is most renowned for its industry and mining.
The theme of Dance Research NRW #10 is »Dance_Added_Value_Creation«. The starting point for the research is a former baking factory in Düsseldorf, where the Hans Peter Zimmer Foundation currently supports projects that tackle the humanist and ethical responsibility of art.
