Call for applications - Position of artistic director of Iceland dance company.
The role of the Iceland dance company is to produce dancework, enable innovation in Icelandic choreography and be a forum for strengthening the art of dance in Iceland.
Artistic director is the head of Iceland Dance company and shapes the artistic direction of the company in collaboration with its board. The director is also responsible for the daily running of the company.
Applicants should have a good knowledge and experience about the artform of dance.
The minister of education and culture appoints the artistic director for 5 years upon a proposal from the board of the company. A new director will take over August 1st 2012. The salary of the artistic director is according to the decision of the National salary council.
