Sadler’s Wells Summer University offers up to 15 young professionals the unique chance to take part in a two week intensive led by award-winning choreographer and author Jonathan Burrows. Focussing on choreographic and compositional process, performance and philosophies, the course questions how a dance can be made and what it might communicate to somebody watching. The course is free, and projected to run each summer over four years with the same group of artists.
This course is suitable for artists from all areas of dance, who are interested in re-examining and extending their own process and practice. Selection will be via open application, and participants should have no more than five years professional choreographic experience.
