The Danish National School of Contemporary Dance offers a 2-year full-time education in pedagogy, music and administrative skills. The education combines classes at the school with practical experience within teaching, facilitation and project management in schools and cultural institutions.
Master in Dance Partnership
a full-time education for professional dancers in pedagogy, creative practice, music and administration, 120 ECTS
Content:
This education focuses on the broad aspects of pedagogy, the importance of developing creativity and the ability to implement and deliver dance projects and teaching of a high level. The main subjects include dance pedagogy, music and administrative skills.
The education is full-time with both practical and theoretical classes, external placements, extensive self study and research. The students integrate theoretical knowledge into creative practice within specific working situations, such as teaching in schools, cultural institutions and platforms. External placements are planned in collaboration with the head of the education. Students are offered ongoing tutoring from an appointed mentor throughout the education.
Curriculum: The Art and Science of Teaching (60) The Art of Dance (30 ECTS) Music for Dancers (15 ECTS) The Dancer as Entrepreneur (15 ECTS)
The education is accredited with 120 ECTS points through the Danish Ministry of Culture.
Admission:
The education is targeted towards professional dancers with a BA or similar qualification in dance with minimum two years of documented professional experience.

Audition: 7th and 8th May 2010

Learning outcomes:
Students learn to plan, create and implement artistic projects and teaching projects for children, young people and adults with a focus on artistic development and creative practice. The students achieve:
• independent pedagogical foundation practical pedagogical tools
• a reflective approach to their work as dance artists and facilitators
• administrative skills and experience within project management, leader- ship and group processes
• experience in developing a personal artistic vocabulary
• competence within the various dance related genres
• insight into partnerships between dance, music and other art forms
