ilmoittaja: The Seoul International Dance Competition (SIDC)

The Seoul International Dance Competition (SIDC) aims to discover promising young dancers, provide them the opportunity to gain international experience, support cooperation between dancers participating in each category (Ballet, Contemporary and Ethnic dance), and contribute in their improved understanding of the international world.

The Seoul International Dance Competition has been holding for 7 years to offer dancers world-wide connections and cultural exchange. The 7th SIDC will be held in July 2010.

Categories & Qualifications*
A) Ballet
Pre-Junior (Solo) Ages 12–14 years
Junior (Solo) : Ages 15–18 years
Senior (Solo & Couple) : Ages 19–26 years
B) Contemporary Dance
Junior (Solo) : Ages 15–18 years
Senior (Solo & Couple) : Ages 19–26 years
C) Ethnic Dance
Junior (Solo) : Ages 15–18 years
Senior (Solo & Couple) : Ages 19–35 years

Ages 12–14:                                                                         Born after 1995 July 21– Born before 1998 July 20
Ages 15–18:                                                                         Born after 1991 July 21– Born before 1995 July 20
Ages 19–26:                                                                        Born after 1983 July 21– Born before 1991 July 20

Preliminaries

Semi-finals & Finals

July 21–July 22nd:                                                       Semi-finals, Seoul Art Centre, Towol Theater
July 23rd–July 24th:                                                           Finals Seoul Art Centre, Towol Theater
July 25th: Seoul International Dance Competition Award and Gala Performance, Seoul Art Centre, Towol Theater

All competitors must participate in the orientation.
The schedules are subject to change by the Competition Executive Committee. Please check the website for the schedules of the Semi-finals and Finals.

Competitors must prepare documents and submit them to the Competition Secretariat during the registration period March 29th, 2010 – April 30th, 2010. Application fee: USD 150 (Commissions excluded).
