Keväällä 2011 järjestettävä neljän viikon mittainen workshop on tarkoitettu nuorille teatterin ja tanssin (puoli)ammattilaisille. Worshopin lähtökohtana ovat osallistujien omat ideat, joita kehitetään eteenpäin Cantabile 2 taiteellisen johtajan Nullo Facchinin ja Lynch Companyn johtajan ja koreografin Stuart Lynchin avulla.

4 weeks workshop for independent stage artists, young companies & project makers

For 17 years Cantabile 2 has been educating professional performers at the 3 year long education “School of Stage Arts”. Now Cantabile 2´s teaching activities has changed to a more open, dynamic and flexible structure.
At our Pit-Stop workshops participants create scenic material with the starting point in their own ideas and creativity. The artistic director of Cantabile 2 Nullo Facchini and director/choreographer Stuart Lynch from Lynch Company will guide an artistic and creative process, that will bring a project to the next phase. This may be projects already existing and needing input to reach the next level, or the course can be used for the participant to develop his or her own concept and focus own ideas – individually or together with some of the other participants.
Participants will develop solos, duos or other constellations.
In the work different methods and tools will be introduced and used, these are elements like post-butoh, improvisation, installation work, object work, voice work, site specific work, visual work, human specific work. The workshops does not have a fixed schedule – it is designed to fit the participants.
The work on the projects will be both on a conceptual and artistic level as well as it will support the technical aspects of the scenic work of the performer. The workshop concludes with a work-in-progress showing for an invited audience.
The workshop is oriented towards young semi-professionals/ newly educated/ project makers, either companies or individuals. It can used be used for classical actors wishing to explore new ways of working.
Essential is the participant dedication to the work and ability to work creatively and independently.
Emphasis is put on a common process where experiences and inspiration is exchanged.
The workshop will take place in Cantabile 2´s studios and will in this way also provide participants with an insight into the daily life of the theatre. Participants are encouraged to stay in Vordingborg during the whole period, as it is also possible to work in the studios during the evening and weekends.
Facts:Teaching is Monday to Friday from 9.30 – 16 (including ½ hour lunch)
Price: 734 Euro excluding accommodation; 934 Euro including accommodation in double rooms.
