Dance professionals gather in Tallinn in September

Dance professionals from the Baltic and Nordic countries meet again in the 8th keðja encounter, which is held in Tallinn, Estonia, from September 18 to 20. The encounter happens under the headline Dance Partnerships.

Thematically the encounter builds on the last keðja encounter, which took place in Aarhus, Denmark, in September 2011. In Tallinn the focus is to encourage, provoke, twist and facilitate discussions and workshops on the development of dance in relation to society in general and for example to audiences, politicians and organizers.

Different partners such as critics, politicians and cultural managers will contribute to opening new perspectives and shed light on dance artists’ work and working sphere.

Keðja guests will also have the opportunity to visit the Baltic Bubble festival.

Keðja is Nordic-Baltic dance meetings in the form of encounters as well as other activities related to the development of contemporary dance.

The registration for the keðja encounter in Tallinn is now open on the website of keðja and the deadline is June 17, 2012.
