Helsinki will host the next Ice Hot Nordic Dance Platform in 2022

Ice Hot Helsinki 2022 will present cutting-edge Nordic contemporary dance to hundreds of presenters from around the world in February 2022.

Ice Hot Nordic Dance Platform is here again after a couple of years’ pause. The organizing partner, Dance Info Finland hopes to be able to welcome presenters from all over the world to Helsinki, Finland, and the newly opened Dance House Helsinki, on February 9–13, 2022.

Ice Hot Helsinki 2022 will present cutting-edge Nordic contemporary dance to hundreds of international presenters. Previous Ice Hot platforms have been organized in all Nordic capitals – last time in Reykjavik, Iceland 2018, there were 24 performances, 19 More More More presentations plus 14 seminars and workshops in the programme.

With a new visual identity inspired by the dance of the northern lights Ice Hot is now turning a new page.

Ice Hot Nordic Dance aims for a stronger, more sustainable dance ecosystem and Helsinki 2022 will be organized as a sustainable dance platform. We strive to minimize the carbon footprint of the event while maximizing the impact of the platform on the selected artists and on the Nordic ecosystem for dance.

Ice Hot is an initiative of five Nordic partners: Dansehallerne (DK), Dansens Hus Oslo (NO), Dansens Hus Stockholm (SE), Ice Hot Reykjavík (IS), and Dance Info Finland (FI).
