Dance films and discussion about the participatory dance film work of Myrskyryhmä and Kati Kallio will be seen on YouTube as part of Community Dance Festival’s programme.

During the discussion, you can see a dance film trilogy by Myrskyryhmä and Kati Kallio: Films of the trilogy are Usko – Sight for Sore Eyes, Toivo – Hope is an Awakening Dream and Rakkaus – Embrace. The films were made in the Tanssivat kädet Project at Myllypuro’s Elderly Housing Services in 2018.

Elli Isokoski from the Myrskyryhmä and Kati Kallio talk about the film trilogy as well as about their participatory methods of dance film making. In what ways is it possible to work jointly together with people of different ages, abilities and energy available for collaborative work? What kind of qualities participatory work requires from artists?
