Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin: Letters from an Island

Letters from an Island transports viewers to the performances of artists from different backgrounds. With their work, each artist brings a perspective to how Finnishness is shown in the light of their personal history.

On a tour of multi-layered and multicultural Finland, you will experience, among other things, dance and performance art, as well as listen to Tarab music, modern folk song adaptations and even a jouhikko magician.

Irony, roughness and carnivalism are present, as typical to the ensemble’s works.
