DANCE ALL YEAR LONG. 12 venues, 12 projects in Kokkola 2020

DANCE ALL YEAR LONG is a 12-month residency program that travels to different cities and invites local and international dance artists for two week long residencies. At the end of the residencies the artists share their projects to the local community, free of charge.

Via Crucis in the Church of Kokkola is interpretated in the form of a concert with the means of dance and music. Titta Tunkkari’s solo choreography and composer Jyrki Linjama’s new music piece for organs play a central part of the work. The new musical score is played by Martti Laitinen, PhD in church music and cantor of the Swedish congregation of Kokkola. The art work is based on Titta Tunkkari’s solo work that is presented in the church of Kauniainen in April 2020.

Dancers: Titta Tunkkari, students of Kälviä Arts Dance education (The Folk Highschool of Central Ostrobothnia), dance hobbyists from Kokkola and dance enthusiast from the congregation.
