Premiere of finnish-russian co-production dance work The Other Ones and a Ballet gala
Helsinki Ballet festival culminates to a new Finnish-Russian co-production, a contemporary dance work The Other Ones choreographed by young and talented St. Petersburg-based Valerie Kasparova. The music is composed by a prominent Finnish composer, Harri Wessman. The work deals with our tendency to suspect others, strangers, of evil intentions – with unwanted and tragic consequences.
The conductor of new generation, Emilia Hoving who serves as a Deputy Conductor of the Radio Symphony Orchestra, is conducting the Orchestra of the Musical Theatre of Republic of Karelia.
After interval we will see a ballet gala “Ballet of our times”, featuring fragments of classical ballet masterpieces such as Le Corsaire and Gajaneh, as well as new interpretations of the ballets Coppelia, Romeo and Juliet and the Summer Nights Dream.
