Mathilda Kauppila: Serious contemporary dance for friends of musicals

Dance Theatre|Contemporary dance|Show & Street Dance

Serious contemporary dance for friends of musicals is an artistic examination of the anatomy of a musical. It is the re-organised big picture of precisely articulated rhythm, sparkling abundance as well as a symbiotic weave of movement and sound.

Vakavasti otettavaa nykytanssia musikaalin ystäville (engl. Serious contemporary dance for friends of musicals) is an artistic examination of the anatomy of a musical. It is the re-organised big picture of precisely articulated rhythm, sparkling abundance as well as a symbiotic weave of movement and sound. Musical elements which bring about bursts of enjoyment are scrutinised in particular in this performance. These individual traits are examined separately from the entertaining context of music and then cast into a new framework of modern dance.

The group consists of friends and foes of music who are well connected to eastern Finland. The members are multidisciplinary professionals of performing arts who are interested in mining the diverse potential of the human body.
