Tanssivirtaa Tampereella | Dance Film Screening CONNECTED

Connected invites the audience to step into someone else’s experience and witness connection to happen whether it is happening with one’s surroundings or with other beings. This programme will also include very specific commentaries, films that not only invite us into another perspective from someone else’s head, but to see these characters, to actively think about them and reflect on their world, their experiences and to expand our own thinking beyond our own.

The screening was curated as a dialogue between two dance film curators, Gitta Wigro and Kati Kallio. Kati suggested Finnish dance films from The Tanssivirtaa Tampereella contemporary dance festival’s open call to Gitta and she made her own list of the interesting British screen dance works for Kati. Through discussions, eight films were selected for the screening named Connected – Being in connection to others, to their world but also to ourselves, our emotions and thoughts.

The duration of the film screening is approx. 60 minutes
