60 secondsdance online dance film competition open call

60 secondsdance online dance film competition OPEN CALL from 01.02. – 01.03.2017

International artists are invited to submit a 60 seconds dance film to the 2017 edition of 60secondsdance.

The competition offers international artists an opportunity to showcase their 60 seconds dance film on our YouTube channel for audiences worldwide, as well as the possibility of being pre-selected for the Top 30 chosen by the Nordic jury. The winners will be distributed to an extensive network of screening venues, festivals and broadcasting networks. 60secondsdance aims to show dance films with high artistic quality to a large number of audiences in urban as well as peripheral localities.

To submit a film is free of charge. You must simply upload your 60 seconds dance film on YouTube and follow the guidelines listed on www.60secondsdance.com .

Each partnering country selects their own Top 10, winner and runner-up, and a submitted film has the opportunity to win three times! The audience can once again participate in 60secondsdance by voting on our website for their favorite film from each country’s Top 10.

Each country will award the winners the following prizes:
Winner: € 1500
Runner-Up: € 500
Audience Award: Touring with the Nordic Winner Compilation.

The winners will be announced in April 2017.

About the 60secondsdance collaboration

Since the expansion to a Nordic collaboration in 2015 60secondsdance has received 536 films from more than 49 different countries, the winner compilations have had more than 70 screenings internationally and within the Nordic countries, and the films are still touring. The competition is co-produced by Loikka Kontakti (FI), ScreenMoves/Dansehallerne (DK) and DansiT (NO). With the Nordic collaboration we wish to increase the interest and broaden the awareness of dance films in general.

This year our collaboration with ScreenDance Festival (SE) ended. We thank them for our collaboration in 2015-2016 and wish them a great continuation of their dance film journey.
