DANCIN.FEST International Short Dance Film Competition May 8 – 11, 2019
DesArts//DesCinés Festival evolves and becomes DAN.CIN.FEST. The Festival focuses more than ever on societal issues through the crossed perspectives of Dance and Cinema. Screenings, discussions, workshops and participative projects are open to children and adults, valid and disabled people. Since 2015, the Festival has developed an International Competition of Short Dance Films around a contemporary theme, different each year.
For 2019, the DANCIN.FEST International Short Dance Film Competition will focus on the theme ”RIGHT(S)”, in tribute to the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 230th anniversary of the French Declaration of Human and Citizen’s Rights.
The jury is composed with French and international artists or professionals from dance and/or cinema. The rewarded films are screened during the Festival and in the Competition international tour through the DAN.CIN.FEST network of partner festivals.
The winners are welcomed in residence for their next dance film in France, with the possibility of co-production.
