Open lecture on Fiadeiro’s Real Time Composition –method
Tuesday 4.10. at 19, Room 534
Open lecture-performance I was here
I Was Here re-visits the piece I Am Here, which was created in 2003, and, in turn, re-visits the universe of the fine artist Helena Almeida. The device of the “lecture-performance,” a hybrid placed between presentation and representation, between performance and document makes possible the simultaneous experience of being “present-absent”.
Joao Fiadeiro (1965) belongs to the generation of choreographers that emerged towards the end of the 1980s and gave rise to the Nova Dança Portuguesa [New Portuguese Dance]. A large part of his training was carried out between Lisbon, New York and Berlin. Fiadeiro is currently attending a PhD degree in Contemporary Art at the University of Coimbra in Portugal.
