Konvent: International Residency Grants for Dissident Artists and Urban Artists (Spain)
Konvent, a not-for-profit arts organisation based in a former convent in Cal Rosal, Spain. Its residency programme allows creators in the areas of visual arts, performance, literature, video, photography, sound art, music, new media, gastronomy, science and technology to undertake a research and creation project. Residencies are broken into week-long blocks (with residents choosing the number of weeks), within the period 29 June – 9 August 2020.
Konvent offers two grant programmes covering travel and residency costs:
Konvent-Support: Konvent will award a total of two artists a grant of 500€ in cash that will be provided upon arrival in order to cover the costs of material and/or travel. In addition, the awarded artists will obtain a free residency of a minimum duration of one week and maximum two weeks.
Konvent-Vinny: Konvent in collaboration with Vincent Cornelli will award one urban artist with a grant of 500€ in cash that will be provided upon arrival in order to cover the costs of material and/or travel. In addition, the awarded artist will obtain a free residency of a minimum duration of one week and maximum two weeks.
3 Meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Use of the Konvent’s installations.
Project follow-up by the Konvent team.
Dissemination of the project on the web and social media.
Public presentation in Konvent’s programming.
There are no restrictions on age or nationality.
