Open call: Stages – New Nordic Performing Arts

Do you make performing arts? Are you based in a Nordic country? Do you want to present your work in the next edition of Gothenburg Dance and Theatre Festival? Now we call all works for Stages!

Open call closes October 23th 2017.

What is good art? What makes a festival? What is the performing arts of tomorrow? Stages is our new project and presents a new generation of performing artists.

Stages is a platform for new Nordic performing arts during Gothenburg Dance and Theatre Festival 2018. We want to re-negotiate the politics of curating and we are looking for art makers to join us on this trip!

Four artists, active on the Nordic performing art sphere, have been selected to curate a programme from an open call.

The curators are Azra Halilovic (NO), storyteller and performer, Furat Jari (SE), actor and writer, Naja Lee Jensen (DK), performer and artist and Sonya Lindfors (FI), choreographer and artistic director.

Five works will be presented during two days in the next edition of Gothenburg Dance and Theatre Festival.
