Screendance Production Residency hosted by POLE-SUD – the National Choreographic Development Center of Strasbourg
Since 2018, La Briqueterie – National Choreographic Development Center has proposed an annual screendance production residency in collaboration with the International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy, the Cinema Utopia of Avignon, and national choreographic centers. The scheme sees an artist or a team of artists receive a two-week residency to create a short work of screendance (15 minutes maximum).
This year, the residency will be hosted at POLE-SUD – the National Choreographic Development Center of Strasbourg, running 4-15 January 2021 (dates susceptible to change according to the evolution of the international health crisis).
The residency offers a production grant of 8000 euros to be spent on any aspect of the project budget (artist fees, travel expenses, equipment rental or purchase, etc.). The successful applicant will need to integrate an element of the city (exterior or interior) within their film.
Applications are open internationally.
Deadline: 28 July 2020
