Somatic and experiential learning approach: Moving into Soft Skills – mini-conference June 9th

For the past two years, the Erasmus+ project ”Moving into Soft Skills” (MOSS), has been working on creating open-source material for addressing soft skills with a somatic and experiential learning approach.

Welcome to join us as we present our materials. Our approach is innovative, and we’ll offer insights into the nature of this work.

The Moving into Soft Skills mini-conference will be held in English language and will take place online on Zoom on June 9th at 14.00-16.00 CEST (15.00-17.00 Finnish time). Please, confirm your attendance by clicking here.

Soft skills, such as teamwork, communication and self-regulation, are considered important for employability and adaptability. They are essential for how we work together and influence the decisions we take every day and can be more important than hard skills in today’s workplaces.

The somatic and experiential approach emphasizes the living and moving body, which is in constant exchange with its surroundings as a valuable source of constant learning. Since the Soft Skills are not only cognitive skills and their cultivation is a life-long learning task, the somatic and experiential approach suits very well to address them.

In this event,
* we will present the project and our two publications: Soft Skills Mapping Tool and the Handbook of Embodied Soft Skills Training,
* you will get a first-hand experience of the somatic and experiential approach to soft skills,
* and there will be time for questions and answers.

We are looking forward to seeing you on June 9th!

Now, enjoy taking a little break!
