Tero repertoire intensive 18-22 February, Helsinki
Tero repertoire intensive (18-22 February)
TSC’s winter intensive 2019 focuses on Tero Saarinen’s choreographic work. Set to take place on week 8 (winter break, hiihtoloma, in Helsinki), the 5-day course gives a comprehensive overview of TERO Technique and the philosophy behind it. This year’s winter intensive’s special emphasis is in the technique’s transformation into choreography.
Participants will have a unique chance to immerse themselves in Tero Saarinen’s choreographies: extensive repertoire exercises will feature material from Saarinen’s creations, including recent works such as Morphed and Kullervo. The course is for professional dancers and students in professional training only.
TERO Repertoire Intensive 2019 will be held by David Scarantino. New Yorker by origin, David has danced with TSC since 2013 and is remembered from creations such as Morphed, Zimmermann Trio and the part of Kimmo in Kullervo. On top of his work as a dancer, David is TSC’s Training Activities Coordinator and teaches TERO technique regularly, in Finland and abroad.
