wpZimmer: Open Call for Residencies (Belgium)
Based in Antwerp, wpZimmer is an international workspace for the arts, with a focus on performance, dance and hybrid artistic practices. The organisation revolves around the needs of the artists, their desire to research or create and the development of their skills and practices. wpZimmer is currently calling for proposals for residencies in autumn 2021.
The residency is for you if:
-You are an artist, cultural worker, activist, researcher, collective… with a project, an idea, a research question.
-You need time and space for artistic development or research.
-You need conversations and exchange.
-You are open to sharing your work or questions with others.
-For you the process is as important as the result, and you look for other ways of doing.
-You are interested in engaging with wpZimmer, its team, its history, its environment, its future.
Applicants are invited to apply for a residency of 2-3 weeks, falling in one of two blocks:
Residency block 1: 19 July – 3 October 2021.
Residency block 2: 18 October – 31 December 2021.
Selected residents will receive a financial contribution between 1000 euro and 2500 euro depending on length of residency and number of participants. Accommodation is provided and wpZimmer also offer dramaturgical advice and production support.
